Another great post, thanks Amanda.

I try to plan/cope using Stephen Covey's 7 habits approach, which is to try to balance your "roles", so mummy, wife, work etc. But I think the main thing, as you are pointing out is that you can only do so much.

I like the 10 project limit, I must just count all mine up, there are more than 10, but something to aspire to!

Enjoy the sunshine.

Perfect timing for this post Amanda! I've always been great at multi-tasking but I think I finally bit off more than I can chew! Your blog post pretty much describes where I'm at right now - overwhelm. The problem is, it can be so hard to get out of it! I'm currently entering a very busy period for one of my businesses, developing a product for another business, buying a house, moving area, selling two other houses, trying to get my son into a new school and planning a wedding which is going to take place on the other side of the world! Oh yes - and I'm a single mum!! I like being busy, but I think I just entered the realms of 'ridiculous'.... will take 30 minutes 'time out' today like you suggest...

It can be so difficult finding time to do anything as a working mom, trying to achieve a balance during every day while being pulled from all directions. It seems that unless you have an advanced degree in time management you just cannot find the available time to attend to the needs of the kids, your job, housekeeping and the other myriad tasks that seem so necessary today.  Read More
